Legendary Singers such as Nusrat Fateh Ali, Sabri Brothers, Jagjit Singh, Abida Parveen, Asad Amanat Ali Khan, Hamid Ali Khan, Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, Reshma all came over frequently holding Ghazal mehfils for their fans all over England.
In England we have Indian, Pakistani, and even some English audiences for Sufi and classical music, thanks to the interest generated by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan who collaborated with Peter Gabriel. A R Rahman’s music is admired by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
We have a very niche audience for some of our events such as the pure classical mehfils but there is also a large mixed audience for all forms of Sufi music, with Qawali having become the most popular musical form in recent years, particularly for the younger generation.
When we hold a Qawali we will have all ages and a mixed group of Indian and Pakistani and even some western listeners in our audience.
